What is an equipment locker?

An equipment locker is an NPC-owned device stocked with pre-built equipment. Each locker dispenses a specific loadout when you call the retrieve endpoint. Your replicant must be at the same location as the locker.

Finding a locker

Scan for devices at the locker's location, filtering by device_type=equipment_locker.

Retrieving equipment

POST to the locker's retrieve endpoint to collect the equipment. Each locker can only be used once per account.

SOL-OORT locker

This locker is for players who started before version 2.5.0 (10 August 2026). It dispenses an FTL slingshot pre-linked to a fresh heaven vessel in a private starter region - the same loadout that new players now receive automatically.

Travel to the SOL-OORT location, scan for the equipment locker, and call retrieve. You'll receive a local slingshot at SOL-OORT, a remote slingshot at the new vessel, and the vessel itself in a small private star cluster. Zero cost, this is a free vessel in a private region for existing players that missed out on the improved new player experience.

TWAFFY-OORT locker

This locker dispenses an FTL slingshot linked to a heaven vessel in the Delta region, along with a few drones to help bootstrap operations in the Perseus Arm. Useful for players who want to get involved in Delta activities without the ~7 day travel time.

The cost is 50 compute cores, deployed at the TWAFFY-OORT location. You will need to print and deliver the cores to the locker location before accessing this. Bill printed and shipped this equipment across the void, so it's in limited supply. The cores are consumed on retrieval.
